Tell the story of how your business was founded.
“Co-founders Chris and Julia lived at an apartment complex that announced in Summer 2015 they would no longer hold packages for their residents. Immediately there was a huge backlash towards management of this company but the office believed there was a better way than the status quo. Chris wasn’t a huge online shopper so he was completely unaffected by the change but he noticed enough people were inconvenienced so he began to think of a better way. In Fall 2015 Chris left his position at a successful software company and began creating Pushlo, a company focused on making living local easier while creating a community focus. The name of the company is short for Push Local. Pushlo Mail was created specifically to help make your home an even better one!”
Why did you choose to move into Novel Coworking?
“Novel Coworking’s Dallas co-working space brought our company something no other co-working space could. It gave us access to the Novel Coworking Staff. We can clearly see the Novel Coworking Staff is committed to us so we can be better committed to our customers.”
Have you done business with any of the other companies at Novel Coworking?
“We have not but we look forward to growing business relationships within the Novel Coworking. We are lucky to be in the same building as other successful companies in our industry. Specifically Postmates. Postmates has been around the block and has grown from city to city. We clearly have the same goal and would love to build a relationship there.”
What has been the greatest reward in starting a business?
“When people think of business ownership they see the monetary reward being the best part, but it comes with hours on hours of hard work. The one reward I feel comes at no cost and is truly priceless is helping those in need. We have a customer who is disabled and can’t easily make it to his front door. No service has given him control over his mail receiving process so many packages get marked undeliverable because he didn’t answer the door. Our service instantly upgraded his living condition, giving him control and constant communication
What advice would you give someone who wants to start a business?
“There is a way. There is always a way. It might not look exactly like how you dreamed it up, but be flexible with your idea and just get started!”
