However good an employee is, if they are regularly sick, or feeling unwell, their productivity will invariably suffer. Another recent phenomenon that is starting to cause problems is the connectivity of electronic mobile devices. People can become addicted to checking their emails even on their days off or in the evenings when the workday is finished. This can quickly lead to wearing your employees out.

Create the expectation that when people are away from work and with their family, that there is no need to check emails or to respond to work inquiries. This may be difficult to implement, but as the head of the company, you can set good examples by not sending out emails after hours and not expecting responses from your staff whenever they are finished for the day or on vacation.
